Homeland ranks high, and its development and modernization are perceived by President Bashar al-Assad to be a top priority. Hence, the government’s decision to allow the establishment of private universities, a pioneer step given high priority by H.E. the President who has envisioned it to be at the forefront in terms of implementation, based on his faith in education, in general, and university education in particular. Thanks to his inspired vision, he has paved the way for a new renascent momentum. He has wielded the intellectual depth and rationalized science as a key to a genuine change aimed at uplifting the status of our nation's potentials and upgrading its economic and social welfare. Thanks to his ethical logic, he has protected our nation's values, institutions, humanistic and national aspirations, and its outstanding position in
the community of nations.

We, at the University of Kalamoon (UoK), are proud in the fact that we have been privileged to have the first signature approving the creation of a private university
in this country.This University, cradled in the beautiful region Al-Kalamoon region, has radiated in every direction across Syria, choosing the splendid town of Deirattiah located at the heart of Al-Kalamoon, as its home, with a distinguished academy, wonderful people, and a high spirit of cooperation by the local community. It boasts well-chosen cadres, appointed to shoulder the responsibility of maintaining this huge edifice, and to ensure a sound and healthy learning environment conducive to achieving scientific advancement.
