Fees of Admission, the competitive admission examination and equalization

Fees

1.Admission fees, the competitive admission examination and equalization are non-refundable in all circumstances.
2.Registration fees: This is an enrollment fee of 5000 SP paid only once when you register for the first time.

Unlike other universities, there is no registration fee for every semester.
This fee to be paid again if the student’s file/ record is ‘written-off’ for some reason.

3.Competitive Admission Examination fees: If the student grades are not sufficient for direct registration in the faculty that he wishes to apply for, he should apply according to the University Regulations in return for the payment of a fee of 3000sp.
4.Course equalization fees: If the student is a transferee from another university, there are two ways for equalization:

a.Direct enrollment while studying; a transcript and description of courses to be changed should be submitted then with charges/ fees incurred.
b.The student should submit a grades statement and a course description of the course(s) he wants to equalize. According to the result, he may wish or not to enroll at the University. In this case, the student has to pay an equalization fee of 5,000sp paid when submitting the equalization application.

5.At the request of the Ministry of Higher Education, Arab Students, foreigners and Syrians living abroad (holders of non-Syrian secondary school certificates) are to pay in dollars or Euros, while the rest of the fees (enrollment , competitive admission examination, housing, transportation, etc.) can be paid in Syrian pounds or dollars, as desired, with the exception of Iraqi students and those of the occupied territories, provided that the local secondary school certificate be not obtained from their country of origin.
6.Books: each student is entitled to an annual grant of 3% of the fees paid and non-repeated courses, and this grant covers the specialized books only, while the books of the University Requirements Unit (English, Arabic, etc.) are sold to students within the prices prevailing in the main bookshop.
If the amount of the grant is not sufficient to cover the value of the books delivered to the student, the difference is paid at the end of the year.
